Not even an outside post position could stand in the way of Warrawee Koine on Monday evening, as the Gregg McNair trainee front-stepped to an impressive score in the $45,800 final of the Silver Reign Pacing Series at Woodbine Racetrack.
The daughter of Astreos is now perfect in all four of her starts for owner/breeder Dr. Michael Wilson of Rockwood, ON.
Warrawee Koine shot to the top from Post 9 for driver Mike Saftic, who chopped out panels of :26.4, :56.4 and 1:25.1 before finishing of the mile with a final frame clocked in :27.4. The 1:53 performance matched the lifetime mark she took in winning during last week’s second leg of the series.
Coming on strong in deep stretch to get the runner-up spot was Chief Karen, who will sell as Hip #40 in Sunday’s March Madness Mixed Sale. Mylittlerebel was third.
The lion’s share of the purse bumped Warrawee Koine’s lifetime earnings to $51,400.
