Major Herbie edged up the Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots standings with his second provincial victory of the season on Saturday at Hanover Raceway.

The Here Comes Herbie son and trainer-driver Wayne Henry bested Assignment and Shadowtothecrowned in the first $24,000 Grassroots division, leading the way to a 1:59.1 score.

The Henry Stable of Arthur, Ont. and Dan McCann of Parkhill, Ont. share ownership of Major Herbie, who captured the Dream Of Glory Consolation last weekend.
