Warrawee Koine appeared to barely break a sweat en route to her Friday evening score in the $32,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred at Woodbine Racetrack.
Jody Jamieson, who put together a four-win performance over the course of the evening, was allowed to dictate fractions of :28.3, :57.3 and 1:26 with Warrawee Koine, who used a :27.1 final quarter to pace away from six female foes. Her margin of victory was two lengths over Pancleefandarpels in a time of 1:53.1. Third prize went to the pocket sitter, Smashbox.
Colin Johnson, who sent out a pair of winners on Friday’s card, watched the five-year-old daughter of Astreos-My Gal Hall extend her winning streak to three-in-a-row for owner Dr. Mike Wilson. His Warrawee Farm of Rockwood, ON bred the 16-time winner who upped her lifetime earnings to $314,758.
